Being comfortable in front of an audience and able to express your idea concisely are valuable skills to possess. Being able to capture the undivided attention of your audience and keep them in the palm of your hand as you rally them to action are skills that can transform both the audience and the speaker.
Your classes have helped me improve greatly on how I speak my views on or talk about certain topics. You have exposed me to persuasive speeches and expository speeches, and have helped me succeed in giving both.
You gave very nice feedback and were very encouraging. I also liked how you gave us examples and made sure the classroom was relaxed.
Your support as an instructor, cheerleader, and coach has been a part of a successful journey for my children. They really enjoyed the environment, classmates, and of course, your expertise.
Introduction to Creative Writing
This program is ideal for reluctant and hesitant writers. It will consist of interactive and engaging activities, storytelling, direct instruction and guided practice. Topics include establishing plots, characters and setting as well as word choice and organization. The most important goal is to develop a more fervent love of writing. There is no required preparatory work or homework for this class.There are optional assignments for students interested in growing and learning more. All sessions are online, via Zoom. I've been participating in Ms. Russell's Creative Writing class for almost three years, and I've learned so much. Ms. Russell is always full of energy, she gives fantastic, personalized feedback to help everyone build on their talents, and we always learn in a fun and engaging way. I've grown tremendously in this class, and I'd highly recommend it to all students who want to improve their writing skills.
