School Library Support
Stacia Bell offers comprehensive support to schools aiming to strengthen their libraries. Her services include classifying books into appropriate genres to enhance accessibility and user experience, weeding outdated texts to ensure that collections remain relevant and engaging, and diversifying the library's collection to reflect a wide range of voices and perspectives. With Stacia's expertise, schools can create vibrant, inclusive, and well-organized library spaces that foster a love for reading and learning among students.
Why is my child not reading?
The answer is always because they haven’t found the right book. Ms. Bell is available to work with students individually (grades 4 - 12) to support them in becoming voracious and life-long readers.

“A priceless MVP”
"Going into 6th grade, most kids went to open houses to see classrooms or meet friends. Our kid wanted to know the status of what the library had to offer. And believe you me, she hit the jackpot at Madison! Each day her rundown of school mainly consists of what happens at lunch/library time. She once told me, “Mom, I just need one friend to eat next to. I use most of my time for library.” These kids have learned skills beyond reading. Have a safe space in a complicated preteen existence. They are encouraged to be silly. Not popular. They are accepted for whomever they ebb and flow to be. In a time of exploration, what a gift to have such wonderful influences. We voted you our MVP of the year! Because, you provide so much more than a room full of books. You provide our kids fun, playfulness, creativity and genuine care for their little awkward beings. That is priceless."
“Meaningful, exciting and cool”
"Our son has been a lover of books since he was born and the excitement and coolness you bring to reading really makes him feel joy about going to school. I wanted to share with you that we went to the author talk you had suggested in your newsletter a few weeks back. It was amazing. My kids were in ah to meet famous authors! Just wanted to share with you that your work makes a difference in the lives of those you are serving. "
“Inspiring”
"I want to thank you for whatever you've done to inspire my daughter to read so much more this year than she ever has in the past! And her reading is having a positive influence in other areas. For example, she's enjoying Jason Reynold's series of books about track and it motivated her to go out for Madison's track team!"
Accolades
“Thank you for loving reading so much and for not giving up on me.”
“Inspiring”
My son has been busy reading all week because of the Bulldog Reads program you designed. He’s not a kid who has particularly enjoyed reading and it is a big win to see him choosing your program.
“Stacia Bell, the librarian, is an absolute gem and plays a pivotal role in the lives of her students.”
“I can’t speak more highly of the library program at Madison Middle School. My daughter who has some difficulties making friends, has found a stable home in the library programs at Madison. She has read 18 books since July from the bulldogs read program. It’s not just reading though!!! She does art, chess, book club, singing, coding, and robot activities all during lunch. This is an absolutely essential part of making school enjoyable, which is so important for middle schoolers. Stacia Bell, the librarian, is an absolute gem and plays a pivotal role in the lives of her students.”
“Welcoming”
"I understand that Ben comes into the library most mornings before school and he speaks VERY highly of you. THANK YOU for all you do for our son and his buddies! We could not be more thrilled that he is choosing to hang out in a library!"
"Honestly, the library is one of the absolute best things about Madison - thank you for what you do!"
“Helpful individualized attention”
"I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you helping my daughter. It was really disheartening to see her turn away from reading pretty much all last year. Thanks to you she is back to reading after a long hiatus and so far she is really enjoying your suggestions. I love seeing her curled up with a good book. Thank you."
